Ephesians: What Will You Bring to the Fight? Pt. 2

Paul gives his final big topic to the Ephesians as he focuses on the spiritual battle that is raging all around us even today. Satan, his demons, and the world is trying to trap Christians into giving into sin and abandoning the faith. Paul teaches that this battle cannot be won by us. Christians are completely outgunned, yet the victory can be won through Christ and the power He gives to those who follow Him. This power is known as the armor of God. Ephesians 6:14-20

Ephesians: Slavery, Employment, & the Gospel

Paul turns his focus from living the Gospel through righteousness in the home to how Christians are to live within the issue of slavery. Slavery is something many falsely consider the Bible silent on, but there is much to be discussed on how God views slavery. Since slavery is not in our immediate context, the application is made to how Christians are to work for their employers and how employers are to treat their workers. Ephesians 6:5-9

Ephesians: Experiencing God

Continuing our series in Ephesians - A Christian Life, we find ourselves in another prayer from Paul. Paul is asking God for the Ephesians to be able to truly experience God. What does this mean to experience God? What does it look like? In a world fascinated with feelings and experience, God's Word alone provides the answers.  Ephesians 3:14-21

Ephesians: From Death to Life

We continue our series through the book of Ephesians - A Christian Life. In Ephesians 2:1-10, Paul points out the utter helplessness of our situation being alive in body but dead in spirit, until one is given faith in Christ. God gives us the ability to have faith which means we have no right to look down on those who are not in the faith.
