I was excited to read this new book around the 500th anniversary of the Reformation and it did not disappoint. While many understand that the Reformers were the ones who rediscovered the Gospel, specifically the doctrine of justification by faith alone, and preached it without compromise. Not many know the individuals who held to the Gospel before 1517. Nathan Busenitz does Christianity a great favor with his thorough research and concise findings. While the Gospel was largely lost for centuries, there were a few, a remnant, who believed and lived the Gospel with power. This has already become a very helpful resource in finding quotes and ideas from believers before the Reformation I would high recommend that anyone who is even slightly interested in reformed theology pick up this book immediately.
